A TikToker has trademarked the phrase “very demure, very cutesy” for the OG creator Jools Lebron after a gremlin got their paws on the “very demure, very mindful” trademark before she could.
If you’re not chronically online, Jools started a whole ass trend on TikTok after talking about how she stays “very demure, very mindful, very cutesy” while in the workplace. It’s had over 47.9 million views, so it’s safe to say that this trend has gone bananas. Better yet, Jools has been open about how the trend has changed her life and allowed her to finance the rest of her transition.
Celebrities have been using the saying, brands have been incorporating it into their marketing strategies, and Jools recently teased an upcoming Netflix collaboration.

Sadly, the OG creator shared on Sunday that some rando jumped in and trademarked the phrase “very demure, very mindful” before she could, which could put some of her business ideas into limbo. This stranger has acted in a very NOT demure and mindful way, and fans were rightly furious.
TikToker Raluca (@ralucasnotvibingrn) jumped into action after hearing about Jools’ dilemma and trademarked “very demure, very cutesy” for the creator. She made a TikTok saying she wanted to transfer it to Jools for no cost, and she simply wanted to make sure nobody else could trademark it before the creator had a chance.
“Hi Jools! I know you’re going through a lot right now because that asshole trademarked ‘very demure, very mindful’. I wanted to let you know that I went ahead and I trademarked ‘very demure, very cutesy’ and I don’t want anything for it,” she said.
“I would love to transfer the ownership of this trademark to you, the reason that I did it was so that nobody else could trademark it, and so you didn’t have to worry about it so much.”
Raluca then updated her followers and said she had been in touch with Jools, and the pair were in the process of transferring the trademark.
“I did this so that she could fund her transition, be able to do her merch deals [and] her Netflix deals,” she said.
“She’s the one who made it, so she should be the one to use it. It doesn’t matter that this asshole guy tried to trademark it first.”
The community is rallying around Jools, which we love to see, and another TikTok creator came forward to offer their help in the form of her husband.
“I spoke to another creator on here and she let me know that her husband works for this really big law firm, and they would love to put Jools in touch with a trademark litigation attorney,” Raluca said.
So while Jools has some time to challenge the trademark application for “very demure, very mindful”, she’ll be able to use the new trademark for “very demure, very cutesy” on merch while she waits.
We love to see it!!!!
