It feels like we're busier than ever, so many of us are glad when we stumble across a hack that can make our lives easier.
From cleaning to saving money, there are so many lesser-known tips and tricks you can find online. And one woman has now been praised for her quick and easy way to cook a common vegetable, using just a fork and her microwave.
TikTok user @mamamcchan shared a video of her culinary skills on the social media platform, and it has since amassed thousands of likes and comments.

In the clip, she said: "So apparently you can cook swede in a microwave, and you don't have to do anything at all apart from put little holes in it [first]. It cooks like a jacket potato, it'll be nice and soft and fluffy inside."
She then rushed off to grab a fork before pricking the swede with it, before adding: "I've never tried cooking a swede before" before putting the vegetable in the microwave for 20 minutes.
The finished article looked, as she said, very similar to a jacket potato. The inside was soft within the skin. As she slid a knife through the swede it fell apart.
As she scooped out the inside, which had a texture like mashed potato, she said: "This is amazing. Is this like turnip?" Tagging the video, she said the hack was "life changing" and a "game changer".
Other TikTok users were quick to comment. Brian said: "That's a fantastic hack! That veg is called a rutabaga here in the States but mom's from Ireland so I call it a turnip."
Margaret said: "Thank you, been peeling and chopping this veg for years, will give this a go." Beth said: "I screamed inside thinking about all the times I almost cut myself peeling and cutting up these demon vegetables".
