TikTok user tries JD Wetherspoon breakfast for the first time and posts his reaction

A Japanese man who is currently in the UK uploaded a video to TikTok after sampling his first ever fry up in a Liverpool Wetherspoon.

Keen to get a true taste of British cuisine, Daichi headed to The Welkin in the city centre, where he ordered a traditional breakfast, along with extra mushrooms, black pudding, and a pot of Tetley tea. He shared his experience on TikTok, with the video now having amassed thousands of likes and comments.

Under the username imdedede, Daichi said he now goes to Wetherspoons "twice a week".

The video showed him entering the pub, before placing his order with the Wetherspoons app. He admitted he wasn't sure how long to steep the teabag for.

Giving his verdict, he said the tea was "good" and "warmed him up". The sausage was "so good", as well as being "crispy and tasty". The bacon was "yummy", while the hash brown was "awesome".

Sadly, he wasn't so keen on the black pudding or the mushrooms. Overall, however, he said it was "very good" and "good quality" food.

He captioned his video: "Japanese Tries an English Breakfast for the first time at Wetherspoons in Liverpool". Among the thousands of comments, one TikTok user said: "Lots of people don't like black pudding so don't worry about it hahaha, glad you enjoyed most of it though".

Another said: "You should go to Scotland for a breakfast and try haggis!" while a third added: "I love your videos so much! You make my day so much better as it’s very refreshing to see you enjoying your stay".
