A woman has left TikTok users shocked as she revealed that despite discovering she was related to her husband by blood, the couple have stayed together, The Mirror reports. Marcella, a blogger who writes about menopause and posts on TikTok under the handle @beingmarcellahill, shared her "confession" with her almost 300k followers.
Viewers found out that Marcella and her husband were told they were cousins while she was pregnant with her first child. "So I've never told anyone publicly that I accidentally married my cousin," Marcella begins, humorously whispering the words "my cousin".
She explained: "I was sitting on the couch and I was on a family search site. I was like 'Oh look, grandpa's name, grandma's name, great grandma's name, great great grandma's name.' My husband was next to me on his own family search and was like 'oh that's funny - we have the same grandma and grandpa's names'."
