TiKTok traveller flew half way across the world for less than a train ticket to London

A self-proclaimed 'cheapskate' has shared how he bought a ticket for halfway across the world for less than an open return ticket to London.

Travel writer Bailey Turvey told his 38.4K TiKTok followers that he purchased tickets for a 50-hour journey from London to Guatemala for just £152. Meanwhile, an anytime open return train ticket from Bristol to London will set you back around £238.

Despite spending time in three different cities during his two-day trip, Bailey only spent £40 on food and drink and less than £50 on taxis.
