TikTok star who calls himself 'King' moans he was 'scammed' by Wetherspoons after he's bought £2,000 of food and drink

A TikTok star says he was 'scammed' by a Wetherspoons pub after food and drink bought for him by followers never arrived. Tom Birchy, who dubs himself the 'King of Leeds' got over £2,000 of food and drink bought for him by fans after telling them which table he was sat at.

The 23-year-old was at The Golden Beam pub in Headingley and was quickly sent thousands of orders by some of his 170,000 followers. The orders ranged from whiskey to peas and fried eggs, YorkshireLive reports.

However, he later updated his followers and accused the pub of 'scamming' after 'lazy staff refused' to keep serving him due to the high demand. Tom said: "Right full madness anything you've ordered if not going to be sent because you are not going to be sent. And also you are not going to be refunded.
