Remi Bader has had to move out of her apartment after a 'traumatic' breakup

Remi Bader has had to move out of her apartment after going through a "traumatic" breakup.

The 28-year-old influencer split up with Keyveat Postell in March after almost two years together and while it all feel like it happened a "lifetime ago", she has decided that she can no longer live where it all happened.

Speaking in a video posted to TikTok, she said: "I don't want to talk about it anymore because it feels like another lifetime ago. Eight, nine months ago.

"I know I can't be in this apartment because I just can't.

"And the trauma and things that went on in that apartment, I just knew I wanted to leave."

The social media star then recalled that her mother once went through a breakup herself but refused to move out of the home and had encouraged her to behave in the same way but, in the end, Remi has decided that packing up is the best option for the sake of her own mental health.

She said: "So my mom was always very much like, 'Don't move.'

"But every time I would go back to that apartment, I would be so sad. It would literally bring me back to this sad place like the breakup literally just happened.

""It was about me now and about my mental health.

"I just felt held back in that apartment and I only felt that sadness when I was in there." She then spoke about the positive changes she's experienced in her day-to-day in the two to three months since moving."

Remi revealed at the time of the split that Keyveat had broken up with her via text message.

Alongside a video of her sobbing in bed, she said: "When he says doing it over text is easier for him than doing it in person after almost 2 years together."
