A TikTok content creator, known as 'Mr. Prada' on the platform, has been arrested in Dallas and is facing a second-degree murder charge in connection with the death of a Baton Rouge counselor and life coach. The 20-year-old Terryon Thomas was apprehended by the US Marshals in Texas on Tuesday.
The arrest stems from the discovery of the body of 69-year-old William Nicholas Abraham, a licensed professional counselor, found on the side of a Louisiana highway. Abraham's body was wrapped in a comforter, taped with duct tape, and placed inside a tarp. The preliminary cause of death was determined to be blunt force trauma.
Authorities revealed that Thomas was the last known person driving Abraham's car and was captured on surveillance footage at the victim's apartment complex. Detectives found evidence of a violent physical altercation at Thomas' Baton Rouge apartment, including a significant amount of blood and sharp objects. DNA evidence collected from Thomas' residence matched that of the victim.
Thomas attempted to evade law enforcement by speeding away from a traffic stop in Abraham's car and subsequently fleeing the scene after crashing the vehicle. He is currently being held without bond on charges of second-degree murder, obstruction of justice, and other offenses.
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation, with assistance from various law enforcement agencies. Thomas, who is detained at the Dallas County Jail, awaits extradition to Louisiana. He has invoked his right to an attorney and has not entered a plea on any of the charges.
East Baton Rouge Sheriff Sid Gautreaux expressed gratitude to the involved agencies and emphasized that the investigation is ongoing. The motive behind the murder and the relationship between Thomas and the victim are still under scrutiny.
As the case unfolds, authorities are working diligently to gather further evidence. The arrest of Terryon Thomas may provide some closure and reassurance to the friends and family of William Nicholas Abraham.
