Tiera Kennedy Celebrates Success Collaborating With Beyoncé On Historic Album.

Beyoncé

Tiera Kennedy, a talented 26-year-old artist, is basking in the success of her collaboration with Beyoncé on the groundbreaking 'Cowboy Carter' album. Kennedy lent her vocals to two tracks on the album, 'Blackbiird' alongside Brittney Spencer, Reyna Roberts, and Tanner Adell, and provided background vocals on 'Tyrant' featuring Dolly Parton.

'Cowboy Carter' made history as the first album by a Black woman to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. The album also debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, selling an impressive 407,000 album units in its first week of release.

Expressing her excitement about working on the project, Kennedy shared, 'I've seen this happen for other artists, but to actually be in it is absolutely crazy.' She described collaborating with Beyoncé as a special and cool experience, emphasizing Beyoncé's status as one of the biggest artists in the world.

Kennedy, who embarked on her solo recording career in 2020, had faced numerous rejections in the industry before landing the opportunity to work on 'Cowboy Carter.' She reflected on the challenges she faced, stating, 'For the past couple of years, I was just getting 'no' after 'no' after 'no.' But I'm so glad that I stuck with it because I finally got a 'yes' and it was the biggest 'yes' I could have ever gotten.'

Beyoncé's inspiration for 'Cowboy Carter' stemmed from her own experiences of rejection in the country music industry. The album, which had been in the making for over five years, delves into the roots and musical heritage of country music.

Kennedy, along with her fellow collaborators, is hopeful that the success of 'Cowboy Carter' will pave the way for more Black female country artists in the industry. She expressed her gratitude for being part of Beyoncé's album, emphasizing the significance of the new music in shaping the future of country music and the music industry as a whole.

As 'Cowboy Carter' continues to make waves in the music world, Kennedy's journey from facing rejections to achieving success serves as an inspiring tale of perseverance and dedication in the pursuit of one's dreams.
