Tiegan Ruddy has joined Swiss club FC Sion from Peamount.
Defender Ruddy, 22, has expressed her delight at signing her first pro contract.
"Buzzing to sign my first professional contract with FC Sion, waited a long time for this and can’t wait to get going," she said.
"Thank you for everything Peamount FC, it’s been a pleasure."
Ruddy is a final year Business and Law student in Maynooth who also coaches young girls in Ballyoulster, near her Celbridge home.
Speaking to the Irish Mirror/Irish Daily Star recently, Ruddy admitted: "Definitely I'd love to play professionally, it's something I've wanted since I could walk.
"I'd love to go away and play and, once college is finished this year, that will be my focus, to play professionally."
