Tickets available for Reef's Bristol gig on Friday - all you need to know

Reef, the rock band who hail from Glastonbury - home of arguably the greatest music festival in the world - are performing in Bristol this week.

This Friday (April 22) will see the quartet, who comprise of vocalist Gary Stringer, guitarist Jesse Wood, Jack Bessant on bass (among other things) and drummer Luke Bullen, perform at Bristol's O2 Academy as part of a nationwide tour to promote their new album 'Shoot Me Your Ace'.

Having released their new single 'Best Of Me', alongside a lyric video that features musical skeletons, wolfman skateboarders and brings their album artwork to life, Friday's Bristol show will give a taste of what to expect from their new record before it's release on April 29. And if you thought it was too late to grab yourself some tickets, think again.

The band's latest track has been described as a 'stomping AC/DC-style rocker' and bassist Jack Bessant says: "We want this album to make people just feel good about living, to appreciate life, to give them inspiration to play guitar or drums or sing or whatever they've got going on right now. We've made a killer rock'n'roll record.

"And we want to go out and rock."

Their most recent album release came in 2018 after an 18-year hiatus and included a collaboration with Sheryl Crow, titled 'My Sweet Love'. It was highly regarded by fans and new listeners alike.

Reef will be supported by fellow Britrockers 'A', alongside a few up-and-coming local artists as opening acts during their tour ('Mother Vulture' for our date). Tickets are still on sale for the Bristol show this Friday - Ticketmaster have them priced at £30.55 each.

Doors open at 7pm on the night and you can pre-order 'Shoot Me Your Ace' on a variety of formats - including CD, black vinyl, coloured vinyl and cassette - as well as a range of brand new merchandise, here.
