Ticketmaster has crashed as Eurovision tickets for the song contest in Liverpool went on sale today (March 7).
Users attempting to get their hands on tickets have encountered a '500 Internal server error' message when trying to use the site. Others have also reported joining the ticket queue but getting the message: "Due to inactivity, your session has expired. To continue, please sign in to rejoin the queue."
Taking to Twitter, music fans complained about the crash. @vvoodentops said: "not ticketmaster already crashing while everyone is waiting to get tickets for the eurovision!!! @TicketmasterUK DO BETTER" while @setonrog added: "So much for me getting Eurovision tickets ... #fail #ticketmaster".
Tweeting a screenshot of the error message, @kwithbface said: "Not got a chance when this has been the screen for #Eurovision for 20 minutes. Sort it out ticketmaster. You knew there would be huge demand". @PancakePete00 added: "Ticketmaster crashing 10 minutes before Eurovision tickets go on sale is top quality trolling".
The Manchester Evening News has approached Ticketmaster for comment.
