In case you were unaware, this holiday weekend is going to be a jam-packed one for sports junkies. Friday’s 14-game NBA slate will be a nice preamble to Saturday’s 11 NFL games, which will be followed up on Christmas Day with five more of the former and three of the latter.
But before we get there, we must set it all off with a Thursday Night Football matchup featuring one surging team and one slumping team just outside the playoff picture.
The New York Jets are set to host the Jacksonville Jaguars in what is expected to be cold and wet conditions. As a result, BetMGM is projecting this to be one of the lower-scoring games of the week with an over/under of 37.5 total points, a number that the public doesn’t think the two teams will reach.
Similarly, bettors don’t believe in the Jets, despite them being 2-point favorites and having the home-field advantage. Could this be a case of many folks not trusting in Zach Wilson, who’s lost three of his last four games as a starter? Whatever the case may be, the majority of bets are backing the Jaguars to win outright.

Jacksonville isn’t the only popular wager, though. The game’s three-most bet on props all feature Jaguars players, with Travis Etienne getting into the end zone among the two most popular.
