Mum's heartbreak as autistic daughter 'lured to Scots park and beaten unconscious' as kids filmed on phones
The mum of an autistic schoolgirl has opened up on her heartbreak after her daughter was allegedly lured to a park in Glasgow and beaten unconscious in an attack that left her hospitalised for two days.
Abbie Jarvis, 12, had agreed to meet a friend from school at a park in the Drumchapel area of the city on Tuesday, October 4. When the youngster arrived she was reportedly set upon by another girl as a group of 10 youths filmed the attack on their phones.
It is claimed Abbie was punched several times in the face and knocked to the ground. The alleged attack then continued as she suffered multiple kicks to the head and was left covered in blood.
Grieving Scots dad struggling to attend own wife's funeral due to cost of living crisis
A heartbroken Scots dad fears his children will not be able to attend their mother's funeral due to travel costs amid the cost of living crisis.
Stuart Chesmar, 50, from the Isle of Bute, and his beloved partner Emma Carpenter had been together for 10 years before she sadly died on September 29 from terminal cancer at the age of 44.
One of Emma's dying wishes was to be buried in her former hometown of Newark-on-Trent in England. With her burial taking place next week, the family has been plunged into uncertainty about whether they can attend or not as travel costs are estimated to come in at around £300 for the 614-mile round journey.
Family of Scots dad facing jail in Qatar plea for help from David Beckham
The family of a Scots man facing two years in jail in Qatar if he is extradited over a £20,000 debt has called on David Beckham to help free him.
Dad-of-three Brian Glendinning, 43, arrived at Basra airport in Iraq on September 12 to start a job at a BP oil refinery, but he was arrested and detained on an Interpol Red Notice from Qatar over a debt owed to Qatar National Bank.
Grandad-of-one Brian, from Kincardine, Fife, is now facing extradition to Qatar as his desperate family scramble to raise £40,000 to bring him home.

Footage shared on social media shows fans being separated by security inside Ibrox as the two groups sang, shouted and gestured towards each other.
Pro-IRA chants of 'up the Ra' can be heard in one video, which appears to have been taken by Liverpool fans, to goad Rangers supporters who then charge towards the away crowd.
Swan brings traffic to standstill on Glasgow's Kingston Bridge during rush hour
A swan has brought traffic to a standstill on one of Scotland's busiest roads during rush hour.
The animal was pictured strutting down the M8 motorway at the Kingston Bridge in Glasgow at 10.26am today. A long line of cars, vans and lorries can be seen queuing behind the bird, which appears to be none the wiser of the chaos it is causing.
The image was shared by Traffic Scotland as the travel body warned motorists to take care on approach.
