Thunderstorms could hit parts of the UK this weekend - and a weather map has been issued showing exactly which areas will experience thunder and lightning.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning as a plume of warm air is set to raise temperatures and increase the risk of thundery showers.
As a high-pressure area drifts away towards Scandinavia, warm air from the south will bring in higher temperatures on Friday and a chance of the off shower in the far southwest, forecasters said.
Throughout the weekend, this warmer air is pushing further north and east, with the possibility of more widespread showers with hail and gusty winds in a few places.
A Ventusky map shows that central and southern England, as well as Wales, could experience thunder, hail and rain over the weekend.
The weather is expected to change at around 2pm on Saturday - with the warning being issued until 9pm.
Met Office forecaster Oli Clayden warned that due to heavy rain, flooding is possible - and as a result, there is a risk of travel disruption.
There is also a risk of thunderstorms in Scotland over the weekend, where STV meteorologist Sean Batty said that parts of the country could experience heavy downpours.
He said: "After weeks of warm weather in the west of the country, things are going to get even warmer in the next couple of days, and also a lot more humid.
"Portugal and Spain have seen some very unsettled conditions in the last week and some of that gets thrown our way in the next few days.
"As well as the more humid conditions there will be the risk of some thundery showers, this of course will help to water the gardens, but is unlikely to change the water scarcity issues some parts of the country are starting to see.
"The other thing with thundery showers, is they’re very sporadic and this means that probably quite a few areas will see no rain at all, while somewhere several miles away may get a deluge."
Met Office Deputy Chief Meteorologist Dan Harris said: "Although a plume of warm air will bring temperatures up to around 30C in some parts of England, it brings with it the risk of some impactful thunderstorms.
"The general focus area for Saturday has become better defined over the past 24 hours, which has resulted in sufficient confidence to issue a 'Very Low Likelihood' Yellow Thunderstorm Warning.
"While not everyone in the warning area will see the heaviest showers, or even showers at all, some are likely to be torrential and thundery, with 30-40mm falling in an hour. Some spots affected by multiple showers could see in excess of 60mm within the warning period.
"It's worth noting that this far from the event the main focus area could change as latest forecast information becomes available, so it’s important to stay up to date with the latest forecast.
"It's also important to note that this warmer air will also see relatively high night-time temperatures, often staying in the mid-teens Celsius for some."
Storm Oscar, which has been named by the Spanish Meteorological Service (AEMET), will not be impacting the UK, though will help to drive the warm plume of air into southern areas, the Met Office said.
