Thunderstorms will hit Newcastle on Tuesday afternoon according to the latest Met Office weather forecast.
After a sunny Monday, there is likely to be a distinct end-of-summer feeling throughout the rest of the week, with a wet Tuesday - potentially including thunder and lightning. Beyond that, the Met Office experts are forecasting an unsettled few days.
Tuesday's UV levels will be medium, but pollen and pollution will be low.

A Met Office spokesperson said: "Cloudy and wet during the morning, with heavier, more showery bursts and thunder possible. Becoming drier and brighter during the afternoon, with some warm sunny spells, ahead of evening rain. Maximum temperature 23 °C."
