A YELLOW thunderstorm warning has been put in place for much of the north of Scotland on Monday.
The warning from the Met Office covers most of the Highlands along with parts of Aberdeenshire and Moray from midday to 9pm.
There is also a warning in place for Dumfries and Galloway and parts of East Ayrshire.
People are being told to expect spray and sudden flooding on roads, while there is a slight chance some power cuts could occur.
The Met Office is additionally warning of possible train and bus cancellations, while it has stressed some homes and businesses could be at risk of flooding.
Meanwhile, a yellow warning for rain has been released covering southern parts of England and Wales from 7pm on Sunday until 9am on Monday.
