Advice and prediction
The first game of the season always offers optimism for all 30 NBA teams and that is definitely the case for a young Thunder team that went 5-1 in the preseason.
The Thunder should have an extra jolt of energy with the return of Gilgeous-Alexander. Meanwhile, the Timberwolves could need some time to adjust to playing a big lineup.
This is a toss up but because it’s the first game of the season, I’ll play it safe and pick the Timberwolves in a competitive, single-digit game.
Prediction: Timberwolves 108, Thunder 104
