An unsuspecting woman who answered her front door with a young baby in her arms, was forced inside her home at knifepoint, police have said.
Horrifying CCTV footage shows a man, dressed in a Tesco uniform, holding a large knife up to the woman's throat as she desperately clung on to the tot.
Officers say two men barged into the property in Wandsworth, south west London, and were caught on video footage inside the home.
In the clip the 22-year-old woman can be seen in a kitchen, and a man appears to be ordering her around as he holds a knife close to her.
She walks back out of the room carrying a phone and the young child as the man follows close behind.
A Met Police spokesman said the men demanded the woman hand over money to them before they fled from the scene.
Nothing is believed to have been taken from the property and there have been no reports of any injuries.
Detectives from the South West Command Unit say they are pursuing a number of enquiries and have released an appeal for more information.
Detective Sergeant Cerith Jones said: "The community will be appalled by this awful incident and I know many people will want to reach out and help us identify them.
"I urge local people to please check your doorbell and dash cam footage for any material that could assist us.
"f you were in the vicinity and saw two men acting suspiciously, or running away, we want to hear from you.
"The young woman was terrified and it is imperative that we catch the men responsible."
