Rangers bounced back from their Champions League disappointment with a confidence boosting win over Kilmarnock at Ibrox as they made it two wins from two in the Scottish Premiership. Antonio Colak and the returning Alfredo Morelos grabbed the goals in the 2-0 triumph.
The Light Blues come up against Union Saint-Gilloise once again this coming midweek as they bid to overturn a two-goal deficit and reach the play-off round with Monaco or PSV providing the opposition with a spot in the lucrative tournament proper up for grabs. But after victory over Derek McInnes' top flight new boys, Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Co will go into that Tuesday showdown full of confidence in front of a packed out Ibrox crowd.
Following the European tie, Rangers face another home clash against St Johnstone as James Tavernier and his Ibrox team-mates bid to maintain their winning start to the season.
Here are three things we learned from the Ibrox win.

Glove battle
Jon McLaughlin started once again as Van Bronckhorst made it clear who his current number one is.
Talk dominated pundits and fans following the opener in the midweek European loss in Belgium with many calling for Allan McGregor to be reinstalled between the sticks.
The veteran goalkeeper was the No1 last season and has always produced on the biggest of stages over the years during his two spells at Ibrox.
But it is McLaughlin who has the gloves to lose this campaign as he makes it three competitive games as first choice this term.
Morelos boost
Rangers have been handed a further boost ahead of Tuesday night's Champions League tie with the return of Morelos.
The Colombian has been out injured for a number of months but made his long-awaited return to the squad today.
He played the final 26 minutes and was on the scoresheet as the Light Blues ran out winners against newly promoted Kilmarnock.
A start against Union Saint-Gilloise may come too quickly but that is the big decision facing Van Bronckhorst.
But in the meantime, a very welcomed sight for the Ibrox faithful.
All eyes on Europe
Focus now turns to Rangers' Champions League return with big decisions to be made before Tuesday night.
Ryan Kent is fighting to be declared fit for the second-leg tie while Morelos is back from injury but Colak is off the mark and that Ibrox strike will do his confidence the world of good as he bids to go on a scoring run and impress his new boss.
Ridvan Yilmaz, Steven Davis, Tom Lawrence and Scott Wright all came in against Kilmarnock with Borna Barisic, Glen Kamara, Ryan Jack and Rabbi Matondo dropped to the bench from the midweek first-leg defeat to Union Saint-Gilloise.
Will Van Bronckhorst opt to shuffle the pack once again for the huge Ibrox showdown?
Time will tell.
