Hearts have lost out 2-0 in their latest Premiership match with Aberdeen.
The Jambos came into this game off the back of another Europa Conference League fixture, their latest a 5-1 defeat to Fiorentina. A win here was enough to drag them back to third on goal difference but both sides opted to pass up chance after chance in an open game at Pittodrie. Alex Cochrane was left head in hands as the Hearts full-back somehow failed to beat Kelle Roos in the first half from close range.
Lawrence Shankland missed a couple too and they were made to pay as Aberdeen got ahead 20 minutes from time through Luis Lopes and Vicente Besuijen finished things off less than 10 minutes later to leave Robbie Neilson's men seventh after 10 matches, with concerns around midfielder Peter Haring who was stretchered off with a head injury. Here are three things we learned from the match up north.

Chance after chance
The shooting boots must not have gotten back from Florence yet. Eleven shots were fired on goal but there was a lack of cutting edge.
Cochrane's effort should have found the net and there's an argument to be made for a Shankland lob too.
Another one
It's the last thing Hearts needed. Andy Halliday went off early doors with an injury as another defensive-minded players suffered a knock. Then Haring took a heavy head knock and looked worse for wear.
They join Kye Rowles, Craig Halkett and Nathaniel Atkinson on the crocked list alongside Beni Baningime and Liam Boyce further up the park.
Reset time
It's been a really difficult run for Hearts as they try and cope with playing twice a week, most weeks. They now have six days between this and the game at Tynecastle versus Celtic next Saturday.
That's the most time they have had to prepare for one match outside international fixtures since a seven-day period between playing Hibs and Dundee United in August.
