Three teenagers, two of them on bail, will face court after allegedly fleeing police in a stolen BMW before road spikes brought an end to the pursuit.
Police tried to stop the car at Rooty Hill in Sydney's west about 11.30pm on Saturday after it was allegedly stolen from a home at south suburban Blakehurst.
The BMW took off and the pursuit was terminated due to safety concerns, police said.
Officers spotted it again about 12.40am on Sunday at Doonside and tracked it with assistance from a police chopper before another pursuit began in Blacktown.
Road spikes were deployed to bring the car to a stop at Seven Hills and the four youths inside were taken to Blacktown Police station.
The 15-year-old boy allegedly driving the car was charged with driving dangerously in a pursuit, taking and driving a conveyance without the consent of the owner, being unlicensed and breaching bail.
Two 16-year-olds, a boy and a girl, were charged with riding in a conveyance taken without the consent of the owner.
The girl was also charged with breach of bail.
The three were due to face a children's court on Sunday.
A 12-year-old boy, a passenger in the allegedly stolen car, was released to be dealt with under the Young Offenders' Act.
Police say they've been recently worried by a rise in dangerous incidents involving young people.
Deputy Commissioner Mal Lanyon said there were fears for community safety, as well as for those involved, following the arrest of seven teenagers on Monday over the theft of three high performance cars on the NSW Central Coast.
"We know about the lack of experience in those drivers and what we really don't want to happen is for one person to lose their lives," he told reporters.
