Police in Sydney have charged three teenage boys with deliberately starting a fire in the city's northwest.
Fire crews were called to deal with suspicious fires near The Ponds several times last month and earlier this month, with police forming Strike Force Clennam to investigate.
Crews from Fire and Rescue NSW were called to a large bushfire at Peel Reserve on October 29, with investigations leading to the arrest of two 14-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy.
The trio was arrested on Friday and charged with intentionally causing a fire and being reckless as to its spread, as well as another change of shoplifting.
The 16-year-old was also charged with possessing an unauthorised pistol.
All three were granted bail and are due to face a children's court on November 28.
