Inter Miami’s confidence is back. On Wednesday night, the Herons beat Cruz Azul 2–0 to claim the Campeones Cup for the first time in club history, with Lionel Messi leading the way to his 49th trophy.
Messi, 39, opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a rare header, marking just the second time he has scored a header in a final and the first since doing so for FC Barcelona in the 2009 UEFA Champions League final.
