Three Sydney ferries taken out of service

The NSW premier says occasional disruptions to public transport fleets are par for the course as three second-generation Emerald-class ferries are taken off Sydney Harbour after two developed steering issues within as many days.

Such problems were rare on the second-generation Emerald ferries despite the two incidents, Managing Director of Sydney Ferries Loretta Lynch told ABC radio on Tuesday.
