Three puppies stolen from Scots home while owner is out celebrating Mother's Day

Three Pitbull puppies were stolen from a Scots home while their heartbroken owner was out celebrating Mother's Day.

The seven-week-old Red Nose Bullies were taken by thieves who raided a property in the Cornhill area of Aberdeen at around 7.25pm on Sunday. The callous crooks locked the mother of the pups in the kitchen while they snatched three of her litter during the break-in. Seven puppies were left behind at the scene.

Devastated owner Becca Ewen, 24, said she has "never been so heartbroken in all her life" as she begged for the puppies to be returned safely.

Speaking to the Record, Becca said: "Someone came into my house, locked my dog in the kitchen while they stole three puppies from me while I was out having a Mother's Day meal.

"I've never been so heartbroken in my life. I can’t sleep or eat in pure panic.

"The puppies haven't had their first jags yet or been microchipped. They are all the same colour with their own little markings on them.

"Police are going to check CCTV from the pub across the road from me.

"I locked the door of my house before I left. It must be someone who knows me - why leave seven puppies and only take three?"

Becca's sister-in-law Keisha Baillie shared photographs of the three missing pups and asked anyone with information to call 101.

Just two days before the robbery Becca shared pictures of the 10 puppies on her Facebook page. In one video clip the dog could be seen licking her face while another video showed the pups playing together.

On February 19 she also added she was "just needing to find the best homes for them all".

Police are now probing the break-in and theft.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.25pm on Sunday, March 19, police received a report of the theft of three dogs from a property in the Aberdeen area.

"Enquiries into the matter are ongoing and anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident 2885 of March 19. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
