Three dogs said by police to have been 'out of control' have been seized after a man and woman aged in their 20s were bitten inside a house.
Both were taken to hospital earlier on Tuesday, but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, said police.
A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said the dogs were taken away as a 'safety precaution' after they were 'deemed to be out of control at the scene'. No further information has been provided.
Video footage from the scene showed one grey-coloured dog being led out and into a van by a police officer as a second officer with a shield backs him up.
Emergency services including police and paramedics were called to Manchester Road in Heywood, near Rochdale, at 9.20am on Tuesday morning.
Police said it followed a report of two people being bitten by their dog. Their injuries, police added, were confirmed to have been caused by the animal.
In a statement, GMP said: "At around 9.20am this morning - September 27 - police were called to a report of two people being bitten by their dog at an address on Manchester Road, Heywood.
