Luxury estate agent Savills has picked out the poshest villages in Britain.
Savills' research, shared with The Telegraph, named the most desirable villages to live in 54 counties across England, Wales and Scotland. The list includes villages in Tyne & Wear, Northumberland, and County Durham.
One village was chosen per ceremonial county. They were selected "based on the combination of highest house prices, best lifestyle amenities, connectivity and chocolate-box appeal", the Telegraph says.

“People want villages that have a bit of everything, from schools to stunning countryside, with accessibility to cities and transport infrastructure,” Savills analyst Frances Clacy told the Telegraph.
Northumberland - Warkworth
Described by the Telegraph as a village "steeped in history" medieval Warkworth - famous for its castle and hermitage and close to the Northumberland coast - was named by Savills as the most desirable village to live in Northumberland.
The average property price is £289,459, Savills says, but homes in Warkworth can be hard to come by. Who would want to sell when they live somewhere that " looks like a scene from a story book "? If you're stuck trying to find a property in Warkworth, the Telegraph suggests trying nearby Belford instead
County Durham - Brancepeth
It's hard to argue with the decision to name Brancepeth as Durham's poshest village. Home to a 12th-century castle, ivy-covered cottages and a golf course by the same architect who designed Wentworth, Brancepeth is full of des-res appeal, sits in a conservation area and is just five miles from the city of Durham.
But you'll need deep pockets to buy in Brancepeth, the average price of a home there is £390,238.
Tyne and Wear - Dinnington
Dinnington is praised by Savills for its 13-century roots and having the "hallmarks of a traditional village", including a GP, primary school, village hall, social club and pubs.
Its location helps too, as Dinnington is close to Newcastle, Newcastle Airport, Ponteland and Darras Hall, which adds to Dinnington's desirability.
Of the villages chosen in Northumberland, County Durham and Tyne & Wear, Dinnington has the lowest average house price, at £210,671.
