Three network down as mobile phone users unable to make calls

Three customers in Scotland are reporting problems with making phone calls today on the company's mobile network.

According to Downdetector, customers began reporting issues at around 6am on Thursday morning. Both Glasgow and Edinburgh have been listed among the most reported locations.

Complaints peaked at 9am when more than 900 Three customers across the UK took to the website claiming that they were unable to make calls.

At 82 percent, the most reported problem on Downdetector are currently issues with customers' mobile phones. A further 14 percent are reporting no signal while four percent say they are experiencing issues with their mobile internet.

A Three spokesperson told the Daily Record: "A number of customers may be experiencing issues with phone calls and we apologise to anyone who may be affected.

"The issue is being resolved and we hope to fix it fully in the next few hours. In the meantime, affected customers should restart their device which may fix it quicker."

Users have shared their frustration online with one Tweeting: "Restart didn’t work. Still can’t make calls. Why are Wi-Fi calls not working either?"

Another claimed: "So restart does not work... This is a major problem!! So are we going to be getting a refund? Don't suppose we will!! Please answer!!"

"A bit late in the day for you to respond or even realise this. Outage been going on for hours. Dire Customer Service," added a third.
