Three men have filed lawsuits against hip-hop mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs in New York, accusing him of drugging and raping them. The lawsuits, filed anonymously in a state court, are part of a growing wave of sexual assault litigation against Combs, who is also facing federal sex trafficking charges in New York.
The lawsuits, filed by attorney Thomas Giuffra on behalf of the accusers, allege that Combs used his power and wealth to exploit the victims and then silenced them through threats and fear. The accusers, identified as John Doe, claim they were served drugged drinks and sexually assaulted by Combs and others in incidents dating from 2019 to 2022.
One of the men alleges that he was drugged and raped by Combs in 2020 during a meeting at Combs' suite at the InterContinental hotel in Times Square. Another man claims he was drugged and assaulted at an afterparty at Combs' suite at the Park Hyatt hotel in 2019. The third man alleges he was assaulted during a party at Combs' mansion in East Hampton in 2020.
Combs, the 55-year-old founder of Bad Boy Records, has denied the allegations, with his lawyers calling the claims baseless and full of lies. They have vowed to prove the accusations false and seek sanctions against the lawyers who filed the lawsuits.
Combs is currently facing federal charges of coercing and abusing women over the years, allegedly using a network of associates to facilitate sexual performances known as 'Freak Offs.' Prosecutors claim he silenced his victims through blackmail, violence, and intimidation.
Despite seeking release until his trial in May, Combs has been denied bail multiple times and remains in a federal jail in Brooklyn. The accusers in the recent lawsuits are seeking a jury trial and unspecified damages from Combs.
