Police have charged three men with murder after an alleged fatal stabbing in northern Tasmania.
A 34-year-old Mount Direction man died from multiple stab wounds following an incident at George Town on Saturday night.
Three men aged 30, 32 and 37 from George Town have been remanded in custody.
Two were taken into custody on Sunday afternoon and police arrested a third man later that night.
Police have alleged the third man was at Launceston airport waiting to board a plane to leave the state.
The trio are set to appear at an out-of hours session at the Magistrate Court in Launceston tonight.
The name of the deceased man has not been released.
