Three men charged over alleged drug syndicate

NSW police have seized 100kg of pseudoephedrine, enough to make $30 million of methylamphetamine. (HANDOUT/NSW POLICE)

Police have busted an alleged drug supply syndicate after seizing 100kg of pseudoephedrine, enough to make $30 million worth of street-level methylamphetamine.

Three men were arrested and charged on Friday afternoon at a storage unit in the inner western Sydney suburb of Homebush.

At the same time, detectives executed five search warrants in Lakemba, Roselands, Wiley Park and Jordan Springs.

As well as the pseudoephedrine, they found more than $200,000 cash, scales, a money counter and luxury jewellery.

A 49-year-old man was charged with supplying a prohibited drug in a large commercial quantity and participating in a criminal group.

Two other men, aged 46 and 36, were also charged with multiple offences.

All three were refused bail and were expected to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Saturday.

Police will allege the men were part of a sophisticated drug supply syndicate.
