Arsenal's start to the summer has been a busy one, to say the least.
The north London outfit announced that they had completed a deal to sign Kai Havertz from Chelsea last month in a move worth £65 million. Meanwhile, their club-record £105m deal to sign West Ham United captain Declan Rice is yet to be officially announced, similar to their £38.5m transfer of Ajax defender Jurrien Timber.
Now, Mikel Arteta's side are gearing up for their pre-season ahead of the 2023/24 campaign. They travel to the United States to take on the MLS All-Stars, Manchester United and Barcelona in friendly matches later this month.
But first, they will play a friendly against Nurnberg in Germany next Thursday. For their game against the 2. Bundesliga side, they have decided to bring Hale End academy prodigies Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Reuell Walters.
Nwaneri became the youngest-ever player to appear in a Premier League game last season when Arteta brought him on during a 3-0 victory over Brentford back in October 2022. The talented teenager has since been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City before deciding to pen a new contract at the Emirates Stadium instead.
Meanwhile, Lewis-Skelly is a hugely gifted young midfielder, possessing a rare blend of elite ball-carrying, intelligent movement and remarkable physical prowess despite being just 16 years old. He was a key member of Jack Wilshere's Under-18 side last season that reached the final of the FA Youth Cup, scoring the winner against Manchester City in the semi-final.

Wilshere himself then admitted that Lewis-Skelly was 'unplayable' at times, high praise indeed for one of the best talents to come out of the club's famed academy setup. Walters is perhaps a slightly more familiar name to Arsenal supporters having played a part in their pre-season last year.
The teenage defender is extremely versatile, capable of operating as a centre-back or even at fullback given his impressive defensive nous.
