Nottingham Forest have been told that performances will improve "in time" following defeat against Fulham.
The Reds fell to their fourth Premier League loss in a row on Friday night as they were pegged back by fellow promoted side Fulham. Despite taking the lead through Taiwo Awoniyi, Steve Cooper’s men fell to a 3-2 defeat at the City Ground.
The result leaves them second from bottom in the Premier League table going into the first international break of the season. Forest have picked up four points from their opening seven games, having won just once so far this season.

Speaking on Football Focus after the game, BBC pundit Fara Williams outlined two of Forest’s problems in recent weeks. The pundit highlighted the lack of consistency throughout games as well as "naivety" in some of their defending.
She did however send a message to the club’s owner Evangelos Marinakis, making a prediction that Steve Cooper’s team will improve as the season goes on. The pundit highlighted the amount of change at the City Ground throughout the summer transfer window.
“They’ve been like that all season, they’ve had really good 45 minutes in all of their opening games, and then they don’t seem to keep the levels up in the second half,” she said. “They’ve been disappointing.
“We know they’ve had a whole squad, they’ve got 23 new players within their squad, so it’s going to take time. Cooper, it’s going to take time to get people working.
“But, the naivety in some of their defending, we’ve seen it throughout the season. There’s a lot of work there to be done, I still think they’ll get better in time, I think they’ve got a very good group of players, but it will take time."
Former Forest forward Glenn Murray also added a third problem that has blighted his former club in recent weeks. The loss against Fulham followed a 3-2 defeat against Bournemouth.
“The disappointing thing from a Nottingham Forest view, is they’ve been beaten the last two games by teams that were promoted with them,” he said. “They are the teams that you target to get the points from, so that’ll be the biggest disappointment for Forest.”
