Six people, including three Canberrans, are facing drug charges after their alleged supply operation was intercepted by NSW Police.
Police said they arrested four men at an address in Caringbah South in Sydney on Thursday, where they also seized 5,000 MDMA pills, 280g of cocaine and $185,000 in cash.
Those charged included a 23-year-old and a 26-year-old from Watson in Canberra.
Shortly afterwards, police said they searched two other homes in the southern Sydney suburbs of Caringbah and Loftus, arresting a 32-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman.
A child was also taken from the home and placed into the care of a relative.
All those under arrest were taken to Sutherland Station.
The arrests came after a joint investigation was launched in 2021, focusing on the supply of illicit drugs in the Sutherland Shire and Monaro region.
Police said the total estimated street value of the MDMA and cocaine seized throughout the investigation was more than $750,000, and a total of 1.1kg of cocaine was seized.
They said searches were also conducted in Watson, ACT and in Queanbeyan, NSW.
During the searches of those homes, police seized cocaine, MDMA pills and powder, $292,000 in cash, drug manufacturing equipment, cannabis, electronic storage devices, and mobile phones to undergo forensic examination.
All six of those arrested face multiple charges, including supplying a prohibited drug, taking part in supplying a prohibited drug, knowingly directing activities of a criminal group, and dealing with the proceeds of crime.
Police alleged the group was involved in a large, commercial-scale supply of prohibited drugs.
They have all been refused bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court today.
Investigations continue.
