"The loss of anyone close to you is the hardest thing in the world , but the death of a parent at a young age feels like everything around them has come to an end, especially when it's a MOTHER," a fundraiser for the grieving family on GoFundMe reads.
It stresses that mothers are the women who inspire you and who represent all you hope to someday "become a fraction of."
"They would even give their life to save yours not thinking twice. Joanna you are a superwoman for saving your son in his time of need and he will never forget your heroism that has given him the opportunity to make you a very proud mommy," Louise van Balderen, the organiser of the fundraiser, said.
More than €10,000 out of the €25,000 goal has already been raised, with donors rallying together to help the family in their time of need. "From the bottom of everyone's hearts we truly are devastated in this tragedy," the organiser added.
Tributes have been flowing in for Joanna, who was a certified massage therapist and who worked in the spa at the Castlemartyr Resort in east Cork, after she sadly lost her life in the Cork beach tragedy.
East Ferry Rowing Club offered their condolences to Ms Wisniowśka, saying they were "shocked and saddened" by her sudden and tragic passing.
"We would like to extend our deepest condolences to Maciej, her partner, Stanisław, her son, Zofia, her daughter and all extended family and friends.
"Maciej and Stanisław are both rowers with East Ferry Rowing Club. Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by today's tragic news. May Joanna Rest in Peace," the tribute said to Joanna and her family, who have lived in Cloyne, Co Cork for several years.
