Thousands of Australians return home amid Iran conflict

More than 2600 Australians have returned home from the Middle East after being stranded for a week when the escalating conflict in Iran shut down airspaces.

While announcing defensive military support to the region, Prime Minister Anthony Albanese also urged Australians to take seats on commercial flights as soon as they are offered.
