Thousands join record-breaking human wave attempt in Mexico City ahead of World Cup

Thousands of people gathered along one of Mexico City's main avenues on Saturday in an attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the world's largest human wave.

Aerial footage showed participants raising their arms in unison as the wave stretched for nearly a kilometre through the capital.
