In a video shared by Sancta Familia Media, there looks to be around 2000 people singing Ave Maria as the sun set in the city centre square.

The service was led by Bishop John Keenan, Bishop of Paisley, who wrote on his Facebook page: "A truly blessed George's Square Glasgow Rosary for Peace and Consecration yesterday when an estimated 2,000 Catholics came and prayed to Our Blessed Mother for peace in the Ukraine and united in communion with Pope Francis and Bishops, clergy and lay faithful across the world to consecrate humanity, Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary."
Glasgow's Archbishop William Nolan had been scheduled to lead the prayers, but had tested positive for covid before.
Sancta Familia Scotland shared on Twitter and wrote: "Goosebumps as 2,000 Catholics sing Ave Maria for peace in the world at George Square in the centre of Glasgow. All ages and groups were united."
