Ex-Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn will be speaking at a rally in Glasgow next weekend.

Stop The War Coalition Scotland is hosting a national demo in the city on Saturday, November 23 calling for a stop in arms sales to Israel.

Those attending will be assembling at Glasgow Green at 11.30am before marching around the city from noon and heading back to the park.

It is believed around 3500 people will be taking part.

A post by the organisation read: "Less than two weeks to go until the national demo in Glasgow called by Stop the War Scotland, the Scottish Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament and the Scottish Trades Union Congress.

"We are delighted to announce our deputy president Jeremy Corbyn will be joining us and speaking at the rally #StopAllArmSalestoIsrael."

The proposed route is Glasgow Green, Saltmarket, Trongate, Glassford Street, Ingram Street, South Fredrick Street, Cochrane Street, George Square, St Vincent Place, St Vincent Street, Renfield Street, Union Street, Jamaica Street, Clyde Street, Bridgegate, Saltmarket, Glasgow Green.

Corbyn, an Independent MP for Islington North, was the leader of the Labour Party from September 2015 to April 2020. He has long been outspoken about the situation in Palestine.

The 75-year-old is confirmed to speak at the rally, but an exact time has not been provided.
