Police have served a Thornton firearms dealer with suspension notices after they discovered alleged safe storage breaches.
Licensing Police attached to Port Stephens-Hunter Police District and the NSW Firearms Registry attended a firearms dealer on Harley Drive, Thornton, for a safe storage inspection on Thursday, June 11.
As a result of the search, police identified several alleged safe storage breaches.
About 7am Wednesday, June 17 2026, police attended the location and served the licensee with a dealer suspension notice, and a personal firearm suspension notice.
The man's prohibited weapons permit and training instructor's permit were also suspended.
All firearms and ammunition were transferred from the location by police.
