Chris Hemsworth is set to make his CBeebies Bedtime Stories debut telling the tale of a little bear who is frightened of the rain and thunder.
The 38-year-old Australian actor - who shares daughter India, 10, and eight-year-old twin sons Sasha and Tristan with wife Elsa Pataky – has most recently starred in Marvel movie sequel Thor: Love and Thunder.
He will no doubt channel his character when he reads Stormy Night by Salina Yoon which is set to air on Friday July 8 at 6:50pm on CBeebies.
The clip will later be made available to stream on-demand via BBC iPlayer.
Speaking about his upcoming appearance, the dad-of-three said he “loves nothing more” than reading to his own kids and he is honoured to appear on the show.
He said: “I love nothing more than reading bedtime stories to my children and it was a joy to get to read Stormy Night, a story about a little bear who is scared of storms.
“Even though I know a thing or two about thunder and lightning, I always feel better when the storm passes.”
Hemsworth is not the first big name to appear on CBeebies Bedtime Stories.
The Duchess of Cambridge, Elton John, Dolly Parton, Harry Styles and Tom Hardy have previously read CBeebies Bedtime Stories.
Former Strictly champ and EastEnders star Rose Ayling-Ellis recently became the first ever person to read their story in British Sign Language.
