Thai League 1 side BG Pathum United have appointed Thongchai Sukkoki as their new coach.
The 49-year-old has begun his job at his new team and will take charge of the Rabbits when they meet Chonburi in their final league game of the season on Friday.
Pathum will also face Buriram United in the League Cup final on May 20.
Ex-Thailand goalkeeper Thongchai said his aim is to win trophies with BG.
"I'm extremely delighted and honoured that BG have given me this opportunity to prove my football philosophy," said Thongchai upon his arrival at BG Stadium on Tuesday. "Pressure always comes with a job. BG Pathum United are one of the top clubs in Thailand with big financial backing which comes with big expectations from every party involved. That's natural. I'm confident that I can handle this task and meet the targets we have set."
He added: "My first goal with the team is to test my football philosophy with quality players. The main priority is to guide the team to success and bring silverware to the club."
Thongchai became famous thanks to his spell at Nakhon Pathom United which began in 2018.
He helped the team win Thai League 4 and guided them to win a ticket to Thai League 1 as the Thai League 2 champions recently.
BG won the Thai League 1 title in 2021 and lifted the FA Cup in 2014 when they were known as Bangkok Glass.
They currently sit ninth in the league.
