Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel may have dropped his biggest hint over his side's upcoming transfer business to date. The German coach is said to play an important role in this transfer window, given more say over the deals that are happening.
So far though, only two signings have been made with a handful of players leaving the club too, making a slow start to a squad refresh for the manager under the new ownership regime. Discussing the problem with the lack of movement, Tuchel said during pre-season: "I cannot guarantee we will be ready [for the start of the season] in two weeks.
“It's the same players so why should anything change? We will see hopefully development but at the moment we have the same issues because we have the same players."

While there could be some movement on the exit front soon, the potential for arrivals continues to heat up. football.london understands talks are underway for Chelsea to sign Leicester City centre-back Wesley Fofana as well as versatile Brighton star Marc Cucurella.
Both players would help Tuchel bolster his options in the backline, having lost some key players there in the past few months. While it remains to be seen if both will join the west London outfit, the manager may have dropped a huge hint over the potential signings.
Speaking to Chelsea's 5th Stand app, he said: "It's always the dream of every manager that you find players in the same league and who can adapt maybe quicker than other players, but it's also a very individual process."
With both players having not only Premier League experience, but impressive displays in the league shows just what they could add to the Blues and in an immediate capacity. With the season upon us in just a few days time, the ability to slowly introduce a player gets tougher, which may point towards Tuchel's preference for proven league experience.
