Thomas Tuchel can fix glaring Chelsea problem with a free transfer for Paulo Dybala

Chelsea's inability to be clinical in front of goal. It seems to be almost the story of the season as far as Thomas Tuchel is concerned.

A football manager, nowadays, can do a lot of things. He can coach his team to set up in what they view as the perfect manner, but when it comes to putting the football in between the posts, that's on the players.

"It's now 240 minutes of final time and we played 0-0 against maybe the most dangerous attacking team in the world," Tuchel said after the FA Cup final defeat to Liverpool at the weekend. "We created a lot of chances and we deserved them, as they deserved theirs as well."

Tuchel was right. Chelsea did create opportunities against Liverpool, and plenty of them. Chelsea had ten shots in the 120 minutes played at Wembley, but the Blues only managed to register two of those on target.

Christian Pulisic, in particular, had some glorious opportunities to find the back of the net and potentially win Chelsea the cup. The American had one in the first half, which was a tad unlucky to whistle just past the post, but the one in the second period where Alisson saves it well, simply has to go past the Liverpool goalkeeper.

It was a wasteful game in front of goal, which Chelsea were then left to rue, similarly to what we saw in the Carabao Cup final defeat to the same opposition earlier in the season. Granted, Liverpool didn't find the back of the net in the "240 minutes of final time" Tuchel eluded to, either, but the Reds kept their composure in the shootouts.

There could be some movement regarding Chelsea's attacking options when the summer transfer window opens. Romelu Lukaku still faces an uncertain future at the club, despite rekindling some of his early season form in the last few matches. The Belgian has been linked with a prompt return to Italy, while his Chelsea teammate Timo Werner has also been involved in plenty of transfer speculation.

Hakim Ziyech also may see his future away from Stamford Bridge. The Moroccan winger has struggled to break into Chelsea's first team this term and is reportedly wanted by a host of Italian clubs.

So, with some of the forwards' futures in doubt, it's no shock that Chelsea are being linked with a host of new attackers. Juventus star Paulo Dybala is one of them. The 28-year-old announced that he would be leaving the Italian club at the end of the season recently on his Twitter page.

He tweeted: "Tomorrow will be my last match with this shirt, it's hard to imagine, but it will be our last farewell. It will not be easy, but I will enter the field with a smile and with my head held high, knowing that I have given everything for you.

"It is difficult to find the right words to greet you, there are so many years and so many emotions involved, all together... I thought we would be together even more years, but fate puts us on different paths.

"I will never forget everything you made me experience, every game, every goal. With you, I grew up, I learned, I lived, and I dreamed."

Why should Chelsea consider a move for Dybala?

Dybala, theoretically, is in his prime years. The Argentine is now 28 and ready to embark on a new chapter in his career.

Chelsea should at least consider a move for the soon-to-be free agent, who has scored over 100 Serie A goals over his time for Palermo and then Juventus. The Blues need someone to unlock defences in tight games (see the Liverpool FA Cup final) with a little bit of magic.

The Juve forward can also play in a variety of positions in the attacking third. Dybala has often been used as a second striker for Juventus, but he can also lead the line and drift off into wide areas.

The way Dybala can glide when in possession and running at defenders is simply incredible. His ability to hold on to the ball can offer Chelsea some respite in certain games where they are struggling to keep up attacking pressure.

His ability to find through balls, key passes and even his crossing means that he's so much more than just a goal scorer. During his days at Palermo, when compared to his Juventus tenure, Dybala showed his willingness to run back and help his defenders. This also allowed him to pick up the ball in deeper positions and utilise his dribbling ability when running forward.
