Arsenal have received a boost after Thomas Partey returned to full training ahead of Sunday’s match against Brentford.

Partey has been out of action since last month after suffering a thigh injury in the build-up to Arsenal’s win against Fulham on August 27.

The Ghana international is now back in full training, though, and could make his comeback at Brentford on Sunday.

There were initial fears when Partey injured his thigh that it could be the same injury that forced him to miss the final two months of last season.

The midfielder, however, has recovered well and, after taking part in individual work last week, he is now back working with the group again.

The 29-year-old is also due to play for Ghana later on this month after being called up for their friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua.

Ghana will be keen to see Partey in action as they are their final games before they compete in the World Cup later on this year.

Arsenal, however, will be mindful that Partey has only just returned from injury and they will not want him to break down again as the Gunners face a packed October fixture list.
