Leeds United travel to Brentford this afternoon (4pm) knowing they need to better Burnley's result at Turf Moor to survive the drop from the Premier League after two seasons.
The disastrous campaign has been a difficult one for everyone involved at the club after bursting onto the scene last season under Marcelo Bielsa and finishing ninth with some remarkable moments across the season behind closed doors. This season has been slightly contrasting, with injuries to key players like Patrick Bamford and Kalvin Phillips seeing the Whites drop down the Premier League table - sitting 18th with 18 defeats and 78 goals conceded.
Following Bielsa's exit in February, Jesse Marsch has altered the style of play under the Argentine whilst adding his ideas in which he used in Germany with RB Leipzig. With so much on the line for Leeds, Thomas Frank has praised the way Marsch's men play and revealed how Leeds became an inspiration for him. He said: "They still want to be aggressive and press forward which was Jesse Marsch's style of play at Leipzig.

"Marcelo Bielsa's style of play is very aggressive and pressing orientated but when they play on the ball, they play extremely quick. A lot of other teams have similar styles of play, but it is more on the defensive side of play where there is a lot of man marking.
"I haven't seen any other manager doing it like Bielsa and that's why he's a big inspiration for both me, and a lot of other coaches across the world. Jesse Marsch still wants to press and combine but it is a little bit more zonal. They wait a little bit more now for the right moment and then they go."
Brentford boss Frank also acknowledged the impact of the Whites in the top fight. He told the media prior to Sunday's game: "I think they suit the Premier League; I will not say they suit it more than Everton and Burnley.
"If anyone picked their Premier League top 20 history, I'm pretty sure they would pick Leeds. I don't think they'd pick Brentford."
Frank, 48, faces Leeds for the fifth time since taking over the Bees and has only picked up one victory in April 2019. Sunday's fixture gives Brentford a chance to earn a top 10 finish in the top flight, whilst the Whites' top flight future could end at the Brentford Community Stadium.
