The man accused of murdering Olivia Pratt-Korbel will appear in Liverpool crown court this afternoon.
Thomas Cashman, from Grenadier Drive, West Derby, was brought before magistrates court this morning after being charged over the weekend. The 34-year-old has been charged with the murder of Olivia; two counts of attempted murder and two counts of possession of a firearms with intent to endanger life.
This morning, Paul Russell also appeared in court after being charged with assisting an offender. The 40-year-old, from Snowberry Road, West Derby, is accused of of driving Cashman to an address and disposing of his clothing.

Russel made no application for bail this morning and was remanded in custody. His case has been sent to Liverpool Crown Court on October 31. On that date a pre-trial hearing relating to a charge of assisting an offender will take place.
Cashman will appear at a further hearing at 2pm today, on Monday, October 3, where any bail application can be considered. During a police press conference over the weekend, Detective Chief Superintendent Mark Kameen, said: "Our work continues in earnest. At the beginning of the investigation we were firm in our commitment to finding all of those involved in this case, which includes the people who have tried to shield and protect individuals, and those who have supplied the weapon or are hiding the weapons used in this incident.
"We have had an overwhelming response and support from the public since the tragic murder of Olivia and I would ask for your continued support so we can keep the promise we made to Olivia’s family and the local community to ensure that those involved face justice.
