Thomas Carty has been crowned the new Celtic Heavyweight Champion after beating Jay McFarlane in the 3 Arena this evening.
Carty dropped McFarlane three times in less than two rounds in what was a dominating performance by the Dubliner.
The buildup was heated between the two and the pairs distain for each other was clear from the opening bell.

Both men looked to land big shots early, but it was Carty who connected first, leaving McFarlane on the seat of his pants midway through the first.
The Scot recovered and had a right go in the second round putting Carty under some pressure.
But the Bohemians fan was too quick and dropped his opponent with a vicious 1-2 combination. McFarlane got to his feet but it was a short reprieve as Carty blasted him once more seconds before the end of round 2.
The win is the biggest of Carty’s career, and improves his record to 6-0.
