This week's RTE Late Late Show sees special episode returning

This week's RTE Late Late Show will see host Ryan Tubridy bring back a special episode of the show which will feature plenty of Christmas gift inspiration.

The Taking Care of Business Late Late Show special will air this Friday. The episode will see Ryan spotlight the very best of Irish produce and Christmas gift ideas.

Ryan issued a national call-out in October for small-to-medium-sized Irish businesses to apply for the opportunity to appear on the show. Hundreds of companies across the country answered the call with their best pitches from across the country.

Some business owners who previously appeared on Taking Care of Business will return to appear on this year's edition. They will share the impact Taking Care of Business had on their businesses.

On this week's show, viewers will see 16 Irish entrepreneurs who have been selected from all corners of Ireland to showcase their products. The chosen innovators will demonstrate their tenacity and resourcefulness on the show.

Among those appearing on the show will be Sculpted by Aimee founder Aimee Connolly. She will discuss how her part-time job on the shop floor helped her create a multi-million-euro business.

Meanwhile architectural designer Hugh Wallace will introduce a range of cutting-edge Irish design products for the home. Professor Luke O'Neill will also appear on this week's Late Late Show and will discuss his enduring love of science and what exactly makes us human.

There will also be Anna Haugh who one of Ireland's leading culinary talents. The chef will introduce Ryan and viewers some amazing Irish food products and will also talk about her new pop-up restaurant in Dublin and her role as a new judge on MasterChef: The Professionals.

As part of this week's special Late Late Show, three deserving businesses will each be surprised with a €15,000 bursary. There will also be music from 21-year-old pianist Jamie Duffy from Co Monaghan who became an overnight sensation on TikTok with his composition Solas.

The Late Late Show airs on RTE One and RTE Player this Friday at 9.35pm.
